Humane way to deal with territorial cats
One of our cats likes to piddle on the futon in our porch. I have two ssscats set up in there. Now she stays away even though they are not turned on. She just has to see them and she runs. It is a safe, effective, and humane way to deal with any kitties who might have a favorite spot to pee, other than the litter box.

Stopped our counter surfing kitties!
Customer Video Review Length:: 1:59 MinsWe put up a camera to catch our new kitty getting on the counters but we found we had more than one counter surfer!Edit:I'm going to add some more info now that we've had the Ssscat for awhile. I took it down from 5 stars to 4 mostly because it doesn't always work. As you can see in the video with the second cat. I thought it was because of the batteries but after testing with fresh/more powerful batteries I found that it simply works when it wants too.The reason I still give it 4 stars is because it's put fear into my cats and simply placing in an area I don't want them to be seems to be enough to keep them away.So all in all, it's done what we need it to do even if it doesn't always work the way it's supposed to, however it is a bit overpriced for something that doesn't always work.

Great for keeping kitty off the counters
The Ssscat does what it says - it senses your cat, and then lets loose a spray and an alarm squeal. We have a very bad cat, but after a few encounters with this thing, he has stayed off the countertops. We recently got a second, so that we can have one for the dining room table and one for the baby's bassinet, and they're working fine as well. (You can call me a control freak, but there's something very satisfying about hearing the spray & alarm at 2 in the morning, followed by the sounds of a running cat.)A couple pieces of advice: (1) You will need 4 AAA batteries per unit. (2) The spray is good for a few months to a year, depending on how many times you forget the unit is there and spray yourself. At that point, you can either buy the refill can or just rely on the sound alarm. (3) The alarm usually goes off once after you arm the unit, while it's "warming up." To avoid wasting a spray, I set it to "sound only" until the warm up alarm is over, then turn it to the...

Never "re-decorate" your Christmas tree daily again!
If you're tired of having your Christmas tree climbed, or finding the ornaments under your furniture daily, or the garland dragged onto the floor, or seeing your cats anywhere you don't want them to be (or just witnessing the aftermath of where they've been where they shouldn't), this product is for you! Since I bought it, turned it on and put it under my Christmas tree, I have not had a problem with my cats even going anywhere near the thing! Forget all the other tricks (including hanging bells low on the tree so they'll jingle when the cats rattle it, or purposely hanging ornaments low that they can "have" to play with...the first only works if you're home to hear, and the second only trains them to believe the whole tree is fair game!).The reason this product works so well is that it trains cats to stay away from forbidden places at ALL times...even when you are out of the room, asleep or not at home! good product
I got one of these several months ago to keep the cat off the counters. As far as i know, it's working. I never see the cat up there. It also keeps the dogs out of any area or room i don't want them in.When i first read about this concept on the web, i read about the SSSCAT product by Premier and i came to Amazon to buy it, but i read reviews in which the users reported that there was an older version of the product that had both a sound alarm and the spray of air, with the option to use sound only. SSSCAT was advertised as having both features, but users reported it had air spray only, no alarm. Apparently no one updated the page on Amazon after they discontinued the alarm. There were disappointed reviewers complaining that the product was not correctly described in the ad, and also, that the alarm option was not available anymore.I really wanted the alarm, with the option of sound only. The spray uses up the supply of air pretty fast, and then it costs...

I have cats!
I purchased this product to keep the cats off the kitchen counters and it did just that! It also scared the c$%@ out of me when I had gotten up in the middle of the night to go to the kitchen and forgot the SSScat was on! The product has a movement sensor and will activate once it senses movement. My cats hate any type of sprayer so they immediately got the hint to stay away. The spray doesn't harm the animal and there is no smell. The product works very well to keep pets off of furniture and counter tops. The refills are a little pricey, but it just depends on how badly you want to deter the animal.

Cats hate it, I love it.
This item works very well to keep your cats away from problem areas. My cats were scratching one end of our new couch. I placed it next to a speaker on the floor about 2.5-3 feet from the couch. Our male cat walked over to scratch about 30 minutes after I placed it and PSSSSSST! He jumped back to about 5 feet from the area. Confused, he slinked his way back over to see what happened, and once again, PSSSSSST! This time he jumped back, looked at it, looked at me, and took off to the bed room. Perfect.One bit of advice. You and direct the nozzle to 3 different positions; straight out, and 2 different positions down. I recommend that you just keep it straight out. If you point it down, the motion sensor can pick up the spray 'cloud' and think that there's motion and spray again and again until you turn it off. Other than that, a great product.

A little erratic, but it works!
I bought this to keep my willful little cat from scratching the arms of my brand new sofa. A couple things to note. The set up instructions aren't very good. Is says when you press the top down on the canister for the first time it will attach itself, and THEN you push the ring up to lock it in place. It doesn't really work that way. Suggest you press down (it will squirt air), and simultaneously bring the ring up to lock it in place.I also had to fiddle alot with the angle of the squirt and the distance from the sofa for the motion detector to work. I may be missing something but my sensor has to be pretty close in order to work. I have it about 3-4 feet from the sofa arm sitting on top of a couple books. So far, so good, but I am afraid that once I take it away she'll forget about the bad experience and just go to town on the sofa arm again. In the end, I agree with some of the other reviews that the motion sensor doesn't work as well as it should, especially for the...

Our Cats HATE it
First, let me preface this with the fact that we love our cats dearly and work hard to provide them with every comfort known to man including heated beds, an automatic laser pointer that provides hours of fun and catnip filled mice that find their way out from under the couch and other furniture from time to time. We don't, however, love pet hair and hairballs on our furniture. Recently we purchased a new sofa and resorted to draping a sheet over it while at work the first few days. Arriving home to find a couch draped in a bed sheet is not a way of life for us, so we looked at other options and found this device. Does the job
I have had my tattle tale for over a couple of years now. I had a problem with my dog getting on my bed during the day while I was away at work. If I was home she would hang out with me, I don't allow my dog to sit on my furniture. This thing worked from day one and I have recommended it to friends who now have multiple. We just bought a new sofa and want to keep the dog off of it, so I bought another one. This thing could be more sensitive, but it is sensitive enough for my dog, 65 lbs. It will go off if I toss a shirt down on my bed nearby, that seems sensitive enough to me. The sound is merely annoying, it isn't an alarm just a loud piercing beeeeep. If you have a medium to large size dog I suggest trying it out. One more suggestion use it on a "cushiony" surface for best results, a hard surface won't move as the dog does. So if you are trying to keep a cat off of a table this won't do much unless the cat goes near it. I don't think it actually senses motion, it needs to be lightly...

Works, but not perfect.
I got this to keep our West Highland terrier off of furniture, and it works pretty well. The noise does the trick. But sometimes it is set off by loud noises or by vibrations in the wooden floor (even though the Tattle Tale is sitting on upholstered furniture). So it's not perfect, but I'm getting a second one.

cat scram forever!!!
Ok - so I got this device for my indoor "bad" cats who started using my dining room instead of their perfectly clean litter boxes. They had a perfect track record until recently.Well, I tried several chemical pherimore dispersers, other non-harmful devices.... and not one of them worked in the slighest!!The Cat Scram, however, worked unbelievably on the first go around! I can't say enough great things about his product to do it justice.... It simply works... period!!!!Get it, don't be afraid to put it in your house, like I have done, and be forever free of misbehaving cats! I am sooooo thrilled.... get one of these systems soon!!

This works!
Bought this as my rescue cat had peed on the basement, bedroom and living room carpets. The Catscram gets an A+. I set it up at the bottom of the basement stairs where there is no door to keep him out. He followed me down like always, but then he paused and kind of looked around and then SHOT back up the stairs! He has not gone down there since in almost 2 months. I moved the Catscram into the doorway of my newly-remodeled bedroom to see if it would keep him out. (I had finally gotten the urine smell out by getting rid of the old carpet and pad and then trying several products on the subfloor - had best success with Arm&Hammer pet stain remover - before sealing with 2 coats of Kilz and then a polyurethane sealant on top. He went to the bedroom door and came inside, but then again stopped and looked around before retreating back down the hall! I can now leave the door open and he won't go in. Sorry it hasn't worked for other people, but it did the trick for me!

It's Ok
I don't like cats but through a bizarre comedy of errors I find myself the co-owner of four of them. Their greatest joy in life is to climb around the counters after being in the litter box with the hope that we accidentally forgot a steak in the sink. Just after dawn the light hits our kitchen counters at the perfect angle to reveal a well worn path of little white paw prints going back and forth from the sink, to the stove, and back to the sink.
