Not actually 100% pure, but still an excellent product!
This is an excellent product that I use often and love!!! :)Let me first start off by saying that I do agree with the other reviewers of this product who point out that Fruit of the Earth's label is (perhaps) a bit misleading. The advertising may lead some folks to believe the product is 100% pure aloe vera gel... Well, close, but not quite... 100% "gel" indeed it is, but there are other additives in the mix.Pure aloe vera gel usually has some light natural coloration (a yellowish tint) and a light, distinct, scent... and if it is of the pure organic nature, the color (and smell) may vary a little from batch to batch. My first indication that Fruit of the Earth's product was not actually "pure" was its perfectly clear color.As for the concerns over chemical agents contained in this product, I personally think there might be a little bit of over-reaction in that regard. Everyone needs a bottle of aloe or two in their home at all times
This product is a necessity in my home. There are so many uses for this product that it hard to know where to begin. I "discovered" this a few years ago when I burned myself badly frying something. My mother-in-law asked if I tried aloe on the burn to cool the fire. I didn't expect the aloe to work since the burn was almost 4 hours old before I put aloe on it. Was I wrong! Almost immediately the aloe cooled the fire of the burn and remarkably the blister even began to decrease in size.I have subsequently discovered many additional uses for this product. It is excellent for poison ivy, scratches, insect bites, sunburn and just about any other skin irritation or inflammation. Fruit of the Earth has been around for, hmm, maybe 30 years? I remember the first time I bought aloe gel it was Fruit of the Earth. That was when aloe gel was the hot new thing.I have an aloe vera plant, too. It's been growing about 20 years. Honestly, I do like the freshly cut leaves better for burns and to help heal skin, but the plant has its drawbacks, too, primarily the fact that when you cut off a leaf, it's going to take time for a new one to grow. And it can get messy, and you have to use it fresh. The fresh aloe gel isn't really like a gel. It's really more like extremely watery mucous. I only use it for first aid, because straight up, the fresh aloe makes my skin feel tight.So, I did some research on the ingredients after I've used this for a while. Great, inside and out!
I use this product every day. It is an effective tonic for sensitive skin. I use it on myself after bathing--just slather it on. Mixed with a little tea tree oil, it takes care of rashes that my dog develops from time to time. I also drink a couple of ounces every morning to stabilize digestion. The dogs get a dose in their food, as well. Great stuff!

I love this product for any type of skin injury/trauma. Scratches, sunburns, burns, bruises, dry skin ... all heal faster with this gel (I use antibiotic cream for the open wounds first). It's a good moisturizer.

Sweet Aloe
I generally don't like the flavor of aloe, I'm very pleased with the taste of this aloe though, it's pleasantly sweet. Internally very refreshing, soothing from mouth to stomach. Used externally, the best treatment for sun burn, other minor burns, and dry skin. This is much better than other aloe gels that have a bunch of additives.

For Healthy Skin
I have been using this aloe gel in a morning smoothie (4oz) as well as applying it to my face and neck every day for a week now. I have noticed an improvement in my digestion and it has reduced bloating. When I put it on my face, it tightens my pores and leaves my skin feeling soft. I also started using it on the dry skin on my legs and it works great! The consistency is a clear, thick jelly that comes out of the bottle in chunks. When I apply it to my skin I just hold a chunk of the gel until it melts into a liquidy consistency and then rub it into my skin. I have never used Aloe Vera for skin or health care purposes before and I am very happy with the results of this. I would buy it again.

Keep on hand all the time; best I've found-read my edit for badly burned hand (yeah, I was dumb)
My house is never without aloe vera and I've tried many kinds. Most of what has been available to me has been in gel form, but I use those with much trepidation and discomfort. To make it gel-like, carcinogenic preservatives are used, as well as artificial colors, scents, etc. All I want is 100% aloe vera.Since finding this particular product, I keep one bottle on the frig door at all times for a more immediate cooling, soothing effect. One bottle is in the bathroom medicine cabinet and one in the bedroom.I have replaced all my foot/hand creams and body lotions and merely use this instead.
